Question from Tiffany: ” I do photography for mostly family and friends and do my editing in Paintshop because it is what I am familiar with. Is there any reasons I shouldn’t?”

Shannon: If it works for you…stay with it. You may find by playing around with a trial version of Lightroom or photoshop to start, these advance programs may save you time in the long run. (Once you get basic steps down).

Kelsey: I started using that as well and when I bought lr it cut my editing time in half….if more! It’s an amazing program. But if you are not getting paid than there is no reason to spend the money on a new program.

Andrea: LR is pretty easy and Newegg is a great site to buy. Cheaper than most sites.

Brian: You’re going to be limited to what you can do in Paintshop. But it may be daunting to start using Photoshop or LR because they are so vast and powerful. But once you get the hang of it you will probably be wondering how you got by without them

Selena:  I started with Lightroom 4 and bought Paintshop Pro x4 later on. I find Piantshop to be so overly complicated in comparison to Lightroom. I’d strongly suggest you upgrade to Lightroom. It’s not even that expensive; I believe I got mine for $160.00. LR lets you do any type of editing much more quickly, easier and more effectively. And once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy
