How To Add Value To Your Photography Packages

I see a lot of people post the reason why they charge so much. I think that other people do not understand what it takes to run a business and they are just looking for the best deal. Which I have to admit, I Brooke Parra have done the same. I’m a bargain shopper. EEEK. I love a good deal. But this can be hard when we are on the other end of the bargain shoppers. Right? We want to make money and not get people who want their photos for free.

Now, that brings me to my next point. Have you ever put out there in the realm of social media….

Where can I get a plumber who won’t break the bank? Where can I get this or that for the best deal?

We have all done that right? If you’re one of the few that hasn’t. KUDOS. But don’t get offended when people are trying to get a good deal. People love a good deal!

You need to make sure your packages are showing your clients the value of what you do.

  • Do you offer styling advice? INCLUDE THAT IN THE PACKAGE!
  • Do you offer multiple shooting locations? MAKE SURE TO MENTION THAT!
  • Offer multiple outfit changes?
  • Offer multiple newborn outfit changes? (This isn’t the client providing it, but tell them this. If you have multiple newborn props for your clients, SAY that in the package that it is included).
  • Use different backdrops during sessions? INCLUDE that.
  • Blog every session? Tell them this!
  • Social media previews? Don’t forget this one!

You’re showing them the value of everything you do. You might include this stuff all the time and don’t charge extra for it, but you’re showcasing to them what all you actually do. They won’t know unless you do what? Unless you tell them.
