Unique Easter Mini Session Ideas

Let’s gear up for Easter by thinking of unique Easter sessions we can offer our clients. Here’s some that we pulled from our 300 Out Of The Box Mini Session Ideas! Want more? Head on over to the store and check it out by clicking here.

Bunny Mini Session
Here me out, do not get a real life animal for this session! There’s way too many things that could go wrong with that. Instead, just grab some of our bunny overlays and VOILA you have a real looking bunny in your photo – no harm done to the child or animal. Don’t have to worry about allergies or legalities in case something goes wrong! This is seriously the way to go!

Easter Bunny Character Mini Sessions
Invite the Easter Bunny to either your studio or a secured outdoor location, and have children come and get pictures taken! You can do a traditional Easter Bunny picture, as well as a couple creative pictures. For example, you could have the Easter Bunny hold the child’s hand and walk with them, or interact in another way. Make it as different from the mall Easter Bunny as possible!

Coloring Eggs Mini Session
In your studio, set up a plain paper background and have all of the Easter egg dye on the floor so the child can sit down and color the eggs. If you set this up at an outside location, bring a small table or solid surface that the child can sit at and decorate the eggs. If you set this up at their house, you can do either! Also, consider asking the parents to join in on the fun to create lasting memories.

Easter Eggster Mini Session
Easter eggster is like Elf on the Shelf. Have the child read the Easter Eggster book with their Easter animal sitting nearby. Make sure to keep the animal out of reach!

Colored Easter Egg Stand Mini Session
Create an Easter egg stand by placing baskets full of eggs (decorated and plain) in glass bowls and/or baskets. Also set up dyes, glitters, crayons and other decorative materials. The child can decorate while you take photos, or can sit there around the decor!

Pro Tip: Build a stand that you can use at multiple mini sessions, and change out the theme for each session so you can get a lot of usage out of it.

Carrot Stand Mini Session
Turn your stand into a carrot sale stand by placing carrots in a cute basket or bowl. You can even just have some carrots lying around on and around the stand with other spring‐appropriate decor (flowers, plants, stuffed animals). If they like carrots they can even eat one — how cute would that be?
