Photographer Transformation: Rebecca Elizabeth Studios

Photography is not easy! It takes time to learn settings, poses, and post-processing skills. Rebecca of Rebecca Elizabeth Studios is here to show her progression from when she first started to how she shoots today.

“I shot full manual with both images, but I have learned to use the light meter built in the camera. So I watch my exposure bit more closely now. I used a Nikon D5000 for both (nothing fancy) but I used the 18-55mm Kit Lens for the left image so I had to use a larger f-stop. With the more recent one I used a 35mm Prime Lens, which has a softer bokeh to it and allowed me to shoot at a higher shutter speed since I could lower the F-stop to 2.5.  I think my biggest change was learning to use Lightroom for the initial processing and better filters and then switch over to Photoshop for processing. I use to use filters to hide my mistakes in over and underexposed images. Now I know how to fix them properly!”
